Education:

Dr. Hoffmann studied at the universities of Freiburg i.Br. (Germany), Saarbrücken (Germany), Sorbonne (Paris) (degree: license es lettres), and the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium), where she obtained the title of Doctor of Laws in 1970. She then worked as research delegate at the Centre of Private law ("Centre de Droit Privé") of the University of Brussels for several years.

Professional Experience:

Admitted to the Brussels Bar in 1974.

Thanks to her privileged relationship with the international legal profession, and to her fluency in several European languages, she has been able to develop a genuinely European practice, featuring a network of professional contacts extending to many major cities in and out of the European Union.

Her clients include very important European and international names in various sectors, such as: banking, commercial and industrial, computer technology, fashion industry, etc.

Dr. Hoffmann has also represented clients before the EC Court of Justice in Luxembourg and has acted as an arbitrator in national and international arbitration cases.

Dr. Hoffmann is active in numerous paraprofessional fields. She is an administrative member of various Chambers of Commerce and other professional associations such as the International Bar Association and the International Association of Lawyers (UIA) where she is vice-president of the commission of international sales. She is cofounder and member of the Administrative Council of the European Association of Lawyers in which she plays a very active role.
